In the aftermath of her best friend’s suicide, Iris develops the special ability to conjure his image by physically projecting memories that begin to blur the line between past and present, reality and surrealism. Archie haunts every moment of her existence at her whim, but the images can never last. Instead, they fade back into the recesses of her mind and bright pink feathers are the only evidence left behind. Remaining secluded in her home, Iris takes comfort in her ability, and tries to avoid acceptance. In a single day Iris is forced to confront these memories, to finally confront Archie’s decision and make peace with it in order to attend his first birthday since his death.
